Activities include day hikes, backpacks, canoe trips and visits to museums. Each group also does several trail maintenance trips in Oklahoma & Arkansas. (trips listed below)

important notes about outings

bulletLeaders and assistants are trained volunteers who work hard to make each trip a success.
bulletTo sign up for an outing, please contact the leader.
bulletIn order to participate in one of the Sierra Club's outings, you will need to sign a liability waiver. In the interests of facilitating the logistics of some outings, it is customary that participants make carpooling arrangements. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them.  Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among the participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel.
bulletAll Sierra Club outings are open to members and non-members alike. You may sign up for outings at the group's monthly meetings or by contacting the leader of the outing by phone or e-mail. Children are welcome on most day hikes when accompanied by an adult. Contact the outing's leader to determine if the outing is appropriate for your child. Pets are not allowed unless the outing is designated as a "pet's permitted outing". Firearms are not allowed. Electronic music devices are not allowed. Outing leaders have the final word before and during the outing they are leading and may set minimum fitness, experience and/or equipment requirements for their trip and may screen applicants accordingly. Contact the outing leader for any questions about a particular outing. Transportation is not a part of the outing. However, car-pooling is encouraged. REIMBURSEMENT for drivers is recommended at a rate of 10 cents per mile per person.
